2016 Ducati Diavel Carbon is ready to rumble

2016 Ducati Diavel Carbon

The 2016 Ducati Diavel Carbon may not really be all-new, but there’s still nothing like it in the world of motorcycling…

Another year, another “new” Ducati Diavel. This time, it’s the 2016-spec Diavel Carbon, which according to Ducati is “a unique, different, innovative and brave bike.” Ahem. “Strengthened by a style that has literally won over the world’s motorcycle community, it has opened new horizons for the Ducati brand. Muscular and with a strong presence, the Diavel dominates the road while remaining as lightweight and agile as other Ducati models,” says the press release from Bologna.

PR-speak aside, the Diavel Carbon remains impressive as ever, with a dry weight figure of 205 kilos and 162 horsepower from its Testastretta 11° V-twin. There’s the usual full complement of electronics, including ABS, multi-stage traction control and various riding modes that tailor power delivery to your needs. This 2016 Diavel Carbon gets a rather fetching “Asphalt Grey” colour, with some visible carbonfibre weave, red stripes and dark chrome finish on the chassis. The 17-inch Marchesini forged alloy wheels are new, as is the Zircotec ceramic-coated exhaust system. The seat is redesigned for improved ergonomics, and the 2016 Ducati Diavel is also available in “Dark Stealth” black, with matt black tank and black frame and wheels. Business as usual for the boys in Bologna.
