Roland Sands Designs Drops New Spring 2019 Collection

Roland Sands Designs has rolled out its new spring 2019 apparel line which, for the first time, is a collection of riding gear just for women.

Here we are at the end of February with daylight saving time just around the corner and spring about to spring (we hope anyway), which also means it’s the season for new moto apparel collections to drop, and dropping they are, like it’s hot. There’s nothing particularly earth-shattering about that news, except that we’re kind of suckers for Roland Sands Designs gear—and guess what—its spring 2019 collection is upon us. Okay, so we’re biased, but what’s actually notable this time is that it’s RSD’s first female collection, rather than the usual semi-tailored bits and pieces scattered throughout the men’s line.

For 2019, the women’s collection looks “pretty damn cute” (this pro-level assessment comes from my better half, who’s snooping over my right shoulder. How else would I know if this stuff’s any good?), with RSD’s usual mix of current trends still thankfully sporting solid protective features but also taking a big step forward in the style department. It is, as the RSD crew says, “moto gear for hard-riding women from every walk (or ride) of two wheels.” The new collection includes riding footwear, abrasion-resistant pants, rider’s vests, and premium leather gloves, all designed for wear on and off the bike, and tailored for women. Some of the highlights:

Stylish substance from the warm-weather Trinity perf jacket, which sports supple buffalo leather, Knox armor, and quilted details.

The RSD approach to apparel design apparently bleeds over from its custom bike builds, at least if you believe the website, “The product range perfectly blends premium materials, simplistic style, and motorcycle functionality to ensure performance on any bike while looking great off it. We’ve focused on providing a stylish jacket for every motorcycle consumer, regardless of the type of bike you ride.”

The women’s Loma glove takes a classic form and puts a moto spin on it, with premium leather construction, flex knuckles, and pre-curved fit.
